1. About This Policy
aliHossain Academy is an online learning platform run by Ali Hossain. We teach web development, WordPress, AI tools, freelancing, and remote work through paid courses, free blog posts, and video content.
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, buy a course, join our community, or interact with our pages on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Telegram. It also explains how advertising and analytics tools track your activity, and what you can do about it.
By using our website, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Give Us
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number, username, and password when you register or enroll in a course.
- Order details: billing name, email, phone number, address, and the courses you purchase.
- Payment details: handled by our payment partners. We receive a confirmation and a transaction reference. We do not store your full card number, mobile wallet PIN, or banking credentials on our servers.
- Comments and messages: anything you write in blog comments, contact forms, support tickets, or messages to our social media pages.
- Newsletter and SMS signups: the email address or phone number you submit.
- Course activity: lessons completed, quiz results, assignments, certificates earned, and support requests related to your course.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you browse the site, our servers and tracking tools record:
- IP address and approximate location (usually city or district level)
- Browser type, device type, operating system, and screen size
- Pages you visit, buttons you click, how long you stay, and where you came from
- Referring website or ad campaign that brought you here
- Cookie identifiers and similar device identifiers
2.3 Information From Third Parties
Advertising and analytics platforms may share aggregated or matched information with us, such as which ad campaign led to a purchase, or general audience statistics like age range and interests. We do not receive your name or contact details from these platforms unless you submit them through a lead form.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and give you access to purchased courses
- Process payments, send invoices, and handle refunds
- Provide customer support and answer your questions
- Send course updates, class reminders, and important account notices
- Send marketing emails, SMS, and offers if you have opted in
- Measure which pages, videos, and ads actually work
- Show you relevant ads on Google, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram
- Detect spam, fraud, and abuse
- Improve our courses, content, and website
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them in four categories.
Strictly necessary cookies. Required for login sessions, shopping cart, checkout, and security. The site does not work without these.
Functional cookies. Remember your preferences, such as your name and email in the comment form (stored for one year if you opt in), your login state, and display settings.
Analytics cookies. Help us understand traffic and behavior in aggregate. Set through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
Advertising cookies. Used to measure ad performance and show you our ads again after you leave the site. Set by Google and Meta.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block necessary cookies, login and checkout will stop working.
5. Advertising and Tracking
This is the part most people skip, so we are stating it plainly.
We run paid advertising campaigns on Google, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. To measure results and reach the right audience, we install tracking code on this website.
5.1 Google Services
We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tags.
These tools may collect your IP address, device and browser information, the pages and products you view, items added to your cart, purchases you complete, and a randomly generated cookie ID. Google uses this to report performance to us and to show our ads to you on Google Search, YouTube, Gmail, and websites in the Google Display Network.
If you are signed in to a Google account and have enabled personalized ads, Google may link this activity to your account.
Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy How Google uses data from partner sites: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites <!– Keep the next paragraph only if you actually display AdSense ads on the site. Delete it otherwise. –>
5.2 Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API on this website.
The Pixel records actions you take, such as viewing a course page, adding a course to your cart, starting checkout, and completing a purchase. It sends this to Meta along with your IP address, browser details, and a Meta cookie ID.
The Conversions API sends similar event data from our server to Meta. For matching purposes, this may include a hashed version of your email address or phone number. Hashing turns the value into an irreversible string before it leaves our system, so Meta cannot read the original value, but it can match it to an existing Meta account.
Meta uses this to report ad performance to us, to build custom and lookalike audiences, and to show you our ads on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and its partner network.

5.3 Our Social Media Pages
When you like, follow, comment on, message, or watch content on our Facebook page, Facebook group, Instagram profile, YouTube channel, or Telegram channel, those platforms collect data under their own policies. We can see page insights and aggregated audience statistics, and we can see any message or comment you send us. We act as a joint controller with Meta for Page Insights data.
5.4 What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your name, email, phone number, or address with advertisers in readable form.
- We do not use tracking data to make automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
5.5 How to Opt Out
- Google Ads settings: https://adssettings.google.com
- Google Analytics browser opt-out: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Meta ad preferences: https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences
- Industry opt-outs: https://optout.aboutads.info and https://optout.networkadvertising.org
- Use your browser’s cookie controls, or a tracking blocker extension
- If a cookie consent banner is shown to you, you can change your choices there at any time
Opting out stops personalized ads. It does not stop ads entirely, and it does not affect your access to our courses.
6. Payments
Course payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including bKash, and SSLCOMMERZ
When you pay, you are handing your payment details directly to that provider. They process your information under their own privacy policies and security standards. We receive only the information needed to confirm your order and issue an invoice.
7. Who We Share Data With
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business:
- Hosting and infrastructure: hostinger.com
- Payment processors: bKash and SSLCommerz
- Analytics and advertising: Google and Meta, as described in Section 5
- Video hosting: YouTube and Vimeo for embedded lessons
- Spam protection: automated comment and form spam filtering services
- Gravatar: an anonymized hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar to display your profile picture next to comments (https://automattic.com/privacy)
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or a valid request from a government authority, or to protect our legal rights.
We do not share your data with anyone else for their own marketing.
8. International Data Transfers
Our servers, and the servers of our providers, may be located outside Bangladesh, including in the United States, Singapore, and the European Union. When your information is transferred abroad, we rely on the provider’s standard contractual protections and their published compliance commitments.
9. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Account and course records: as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward so you can regain access.
- Order and payment records: kept as long as required by tax and accounting law in Bangladesh.
- Comments: retained indefinitely so follow-up comments can be approved automatically. You can request removal.
- Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: according to the retention setting in Google Analytics, typically 14 months.
- Support messages: up to 3 years.
10. Security
We protect your information with SSL/TLS encryption, hashed password storage, restricted admin access, regular software updates, and routine backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already happened
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Complain to a data protection authority
If you have an account, you can view and edit most of your information yourself from your dashboard. For anything else, email support@alihossainacademy.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity first.
Deleting your account also removes your access to purchased courses. We cannot restore it afterward.
12. Children
Our courses are intended for people aged 13 and above. If you are under 18, please use this site with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and make sure they approve any purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. Parents or guardians can contact us at support@alihossainacademy.com.
13. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Most browsers offer a Do Not Track signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to it, so our website does not currently respond to DNT. We do honor cookie consent choices made through our consent banner where one is displayed.
14. Links to Other Websites
Our site and videos link to third-party websites, tools, and affiliate offers. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their policies before sharing information with them.
Where we use affiliate links, we may earn a commission if you purchase through them. This never changes the price you pay.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our tools, courses, or legal obligations change. The updated version takes effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date at the top will change. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email or through a notice on the site.
16. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of Bangladesh, including the Personal Data Protection Act, 2026, and by the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009, without regard to conflict of law rules. Where we serve visitors in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we also aim to meet the standards of the GDPR and UK GDPR.
